The tennis courts of the Glen Country Club are located between Clifton 4th beach and Glen Beach in Cape Town.

We have eight beautiful outdoor hard courts with magnificent views over the Atlantic Ocean, Lions Head and the stunning Twelve Apostles. Nets will be up all year long.

Come and join us for a lovely game of tennis!

COMPETE & FUN

The Glen Tennis Club enters four league seasons (Thursday morning ladies, Saturday mixed, Saturday men and Saturday women) every year with multiple teams ranging from Premier league to the lower leagues which provides players of all levels an opportunity to play league tennis.

Outside league season there will be social tennis on Thursday morning (ladies only), Saturday afternoon and once a month on a Thursday evening. Due to popular demand those socials are for members only.

Besides all that the club organises the Glen Club Champs and the Tennis Ladder.

Meet Portia!
Portia is our tennis park manager. She organises everything around the Glen tennis club and
- she makes lovely Mischu coffees
- serves you other food and beverages
- books you a tennis court
- manages the tennis pro-shop
- organises Saturday social tennis
- and so much more

Everyday day she will greet you with her lovely smile!

On top of that Portia loves to play some tennis. In 2016 she picked up a racket and she did not let go of it ever since. Portia enjoys a hit with the members but also joins the Thursday and Saturday league teams!

VISITOR INFORMATION

The Glen Country Club is a members club but also welcomes visitors. Whether you'd like to join a friend for a game, or join in with the regulars for a social, Portia would love to hear from you.

Courts have to be booked (in advance) via Portia. In season, most courts will be booked on Thursday mornings for Thursday Ladies League. On Saturday afternoons most courts will be booked for Saturday league (Feb-Apr and Sep-Nov). Out of season social tennis will be played at those times which makes it a perfect time to join us for a friendly game.

Note: As our Saturday Socials are very popular we only allow members to join the Saturday Socials organised by Portia

MONTHLY THURSDAY EVENING SOCIAL

In 2022 we introduced our Monthly Thursday Evening Socials.
Dress-up, social tennis, drinks, food and music are a recipe of success. Our first social was the Oktoberfest, lederhosen, dirndls, beer mugs, German sausages and polka music! Prost!
The next social will be the FIFA World Cup Tennis Festival!!!

GLEN GLAM GALA

To celebrate the opening of the new clubhouse we had a beautiful Glen Glam Gala!
Followed by the Glen Cup!
